Having an attitude of gratitude

Having an attitude of gratitude

Feeling grateful is the feeling of inner joy and abundance. Thankful for all that you have, rather than what you lack. Having an attitude of gratitude is the key ingredient to bringing more to be grateful for.

Do you feel blessed? It could be you are blessed because you have clean water to drink everyday, a bed to sleep in at night, people who love you. When things go wrong, its important to remember and focus all the things that are going right in your life.

There is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is knowing and feeling that everything you have is yours and you deserve it as well as being thankful for it all. Sometimes, we get lost in our emotions because of trauma and challenging times, but being grateful will restore our peace of mind.

Experiencing gratitude can change your life from self-destructing mode to an empowered, free and happy mode. If you suffer from any kind of anxiety or depression, gratitude is a powerful tool that could potentially completely eliminate those symptoms.

Gratitude puts your head in a positive space. Having a thought of gratitude and aligning it with the feeling of gratitude is what is so powerful. Think of a time you felt so grateful for something you had or received and really step into that feeling. This will bring your mind into a very peaceful space.

Gratitude will outshine all other emotions, especially negative ones. Start by writing  gratitude journal- List 5 things you are grateful for every day, even if its things that you haven’t yet received (say to yourself you have already). This will amplify any manifestations and will put you into a place of true inner joy.

Ways to practice gratitude if you are finding it hard to settle the mind are mindfulness, mediation, surrounding yourself with love, helping others (volunteering or any act of kindness).

When all is going really well, it’s easy to practice gratitude, but that ease can disappear as soon as tragedy or misfortune strikes.

This is why it’s important to make gratitude a habit right now. As a habit, it will form your future perspective to see through the lens of gratefulness instead of entitlement and disappointment.
