Grounding and Healing

Grounding and Healing

Grounding and Healing- the two key elements to successfully feeling wonderful and relaxed in every moment!

Grounding yourself is a technique that involves getting yourself into the here and now. People typically perform grounding outdoors by lying on the ground or submerging themself in water. You can also use grounding mats, sheets, or other equipment. Grounding, also called earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth.

The most recent scientific research has explored grounding for inflammation, cardiovascular disease, muscle damage, chronic pain, and mood.

Types of grounding:

Lying on the earth

Walking barefoot

Visualising tree roots growing out of your feet

Using a grounding mat

Being in or by water

Hugging a tree

Grounding helps improve anxiety, depression, chronic pain, inflammation, sleep disorders, chronic fatigue to name a few! The thing with grounding is it improves your mental wellbeing and balance and helps you to be more in tune with your mind, body and soul. It helps you re-connect with yourself and your emotions.

Healing happens when we ground ourselves because our physical body is relaxed enough to recieve healing and nurturing. Healing the mind as well as the body is vitally important to a successful and fufilled life. Our health depends on us being relaxed and stress free and spending time healing (resting, sleeping well, eating well, having fun and being in the moment) will ultimately bring us a life of happiness and inner joy.

The more we allow ourselves time to heal and focus on our personal growth, the more we can enjoy life from different and more positive perspectives. Our mindset shifts, our energy shifts and we become the version of us we so crave and desire to be. On a day to day basis just allow your mind to breathe and set yourself free from adversity by grounding yourself, being in the here and now and relaxing enough to enjoy the moments of happiness that await you.
